The first electric Maserati
Maserati has released its first electric model this year; the GranTurismo Folgore. Buyers can choose from three engine variants; the Modena, the Trofeo or the most powerful variant the Folgore. The Folgore is an all-electric version powered by three e-motors of a whopping 560kW, or 761 hp. This Maserati also stands out for its considerable torque of 1,350 Nm. The Folgore is the only one of the three variants to have a closed front bumper and, naturally, it also lacks exhaust pipes. It also features an 800V charging system, derived from advanced technical solutions from Formula E. What was also developed from Formula E is the Folgore’s powertrain. Think silicon carbide inverters for better energy flow and higher efficiency. And with a trio of electric motors, one driving the front wheels and the other two driving the rear wheels, the Folgore is a powerful and fast GT.
Grecale Folgore
With its ‘Everyday Exceptional’ driving experience, the Maserati Grecale also welcomes a Folgore variant to the range. The electric SUV has a 400-volt architecture and a battery pack with a capacity of 105 kWh. In addition, the Grecale boasts torque of up to 800 Nm. The Grecale Folgore, Maserati’s first all-electric SUV, has been designed with solutions from Formula E for racing performance. The Grecale Folgore shoots lightning fast from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds, reaching 220 km/h to push the limits of a sporty electric SUV.
