The Morgan Supersport made its exclusive debut at the Louwman Museum, the only place in the world outside the Malvern factory where this special car could be admired. This new flagship model from Morgan combines the best of both worlds: classic craftsmanship and modern engineering. With its light weight, powerful six-in-line engine and tightly optimised driving characteristics, the Supersport is the epitome of pure driving pleasure. This is Morgan in the 21st century.
The Supersport
The Supersport may look like an icon from days gone by, but under the skin it is totally contemporary. It sits on the all-new CXV aluminium platform, which is 10% stiffer than the Plus Six’s CX platform and provides even sharper handling. Weighing just 1,170 kg and with a BMW B58 3.0-litre six-in-line under the bonnet, this Morgan delivers 335 hp of pure driving experience. With that, it shoots to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds. The engine – a familiar powerplant from the BMW Z4 and Toyota Supra – is mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission, making the Supersport shift smoothly and quickly.
Timeless with a modern twist
Morgan is known for its unique style and the Supersport proudly continues that line. The hand-formed aluminium body retains the iconic shapes but adds aerodynamic optimisations, such as 5% lower drag and 20% less lift.
What makes this Morgan extra special is the ability to switch between two faces: a removable carbon hardtop for a sleek coupé look or a folding mohair softtop for the ultimate open driving experience. Morgan is also introducing a full boot for the first time in years, making the car just a little more practical for longer journeys.
