The 765LT features a redesigned version of the iconic twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8, the same engine found in the 720S. But this new version delivers a whopping 45bhp extra! The use of F1 technology gives the acceleration an unrivalled raw edge. You can list all the numbers, but nothing prepares you for the thrill of driving this car. It is intoxicating and powerful. The McLaren 765LT is the fastest and most extreme Longtail to date. McLaren has fully committed to making the 765LT even lighter. With the MonoCage II – the extremely strong and rigid carbon fibre chassis as its base, this project got off to an excellent start. With the addition of new carbon fibre body panels, weight has been radically reduced. For example, the new active rear wing is more than 35% lighter than that of the 720S. The all-titanium quad-exit exhaust also offers significant weight savings. The extensive weight reduction programme has been implemented in every detail. The ultra-light 10-spoke alloy wheels with titanium bolts and specially developed Pirelli P Zero™ Trofeo R tyres are together 22 kilos lighter than those of the 720S.

The 765LT is 80 kilos lighter than the already super-light 720S. For instance, the control panel and switch boxes are designed in carbon fibre and the door pockets have been replaced by storage nets. Thus, a true track monster has been created, which also drives perfectly balanced on public roads.
